NextStar Battery Plant

Mid South Contractors proudly contributed to the construction of the NextStar Battery Plant, one of North America’s most advanced battery production facilities. With a focus on precision, scale, and energy efficiency, our team played a vital role in the successful execution of this large-scale industrial project.

Our scope of work included:

• Installing 35,000 feet of cable tray to support plant-wide electrical infrastructure
• Pulling 90,000 feet of low-voltage (LV) cabling and 80,000 feet of medium-voltage (MV) cabling
• Deploying over 300 skilled workers at peak manpower
• Completing 65 substations, including full wiring, torquing, and energizing
• Installing 54 Power Distribution Panels (PDPs) with comprehensive electrical integration
• Conducting extensive SCADA system installation and retrofitting with associated equipment
• Performing critical load calculations to meet project-specific power demands
• Installing complete site-wide lighting systems, including energy-efficient fixtures and temporary construction lighting
