Rotor Electric is performing two contracts for Oakland County Water Resource Commission (OCWRC) that together are delivering a greener wastewater treatment plant. The first project includes constructing a new main electrical building, reworking the entire overhead distribution system, and installing two CoGen generators. This builds on a project Rotor completed for OCWRC in 2015, where we built a biosolids handling facility. The plant utilizes two digesters to generate and capture methane gas. That gas is now directed to a new biogas cleaning module, which in turn feeds into the CoGen generators to produce power for the plant.
Currently, Rotor Electric is upgrading the existing primary clarifiers and constructing a new Return Activated Sludge Building, along with other upgrades throughout the plant.
