Accounting Assistant position for Huron Valley Electric located in Ann Arbor, MI.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform accounts payable functions, including data entry, imaging, investigating discrepancies, and processing lien waivers
  • Scan and reconcile packing slips with invoices and purchase orders
  • Prepare and process monthly vendor payments
  • Enter and track purchase orders and subcontractor agreements
  • Review and approve monthly expense reports
  • Assist Accounts Receivable with job setup, billing (AIA & T&M), and collections activities
  • Develop and maintain detailed spreadsheets to support various departments
  • Organize and maintain accurate digital and physical records
  • Perform additional accounting tasks and support special projects as assigned

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

  • Previous experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Education in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent relevant work experience
