Administrative Assistant

Position Summary:
In general, the IT Assistant provides fundamental administrative support in a fast-paced office environment. The candidate should have an understanding of typical office procedures, have the ability to communicate effectively, problem solve, and provide general administrative support.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Process new hire requests by creating necessary Help Desk tickets.
  • Physically set up new hire equipment and configure desk phones.
  • Support and Maintain consumables inventory for all printers.
  • Monitor Help Desk tickets and assign them as directed.
  • Process IT accessories supply orders.
  • Maintain and track IT assets in inventory system.
  • Manage building Keyfob access.
  • Update Active Directory with user and computer details.
  • Maintain cellphone roster.
  • Process Job site set-up requests.
  • Answer Help Desk calls and provide 1st level support.
  • Install updates, software as needed.
  • Assist any walk-ins.
  • Other functions as assigned by the IT Director.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
  • High School Education or equivalent.
  • Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Knowledgeable with using computer applications involving word processing and data entry.
  • Working knowledge with office administrative practices and procedures.
  • Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must work cooperatively in a diverse work environment.
  • Perform other functions that may be assigned.
