Detroit Excavation, Inc. installed over 2,700 lineal feet of 15-5” encased duct bank. An additional 2,000 lineal feet of various configured encased duct bank was also installed. Other tasks performed included two-way and three-way cable vaults, traffic signals and street lighting.
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has undergone a revamp of many highways throughout southeast Michigan. One of those jobs included a stretch of road on US-12. Detroit Excavation, Inc. installed approximately 3,000 lineal feet of 6-5” encased conduit, which was dug 12 feet deep. Included was the construction of 164 Comerica-style street light poles, numerous manholes and a variety of electrical apparatus.
Detroit Excavation, Inc. provided road and bridge lighting for several highways (I94, I96, M-10) for the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). This work consisted of direct-bury conduit, directional drilling, street lighting installation, traffic signal installation and primary cable installation. This job included the installation of approximately 11,000 lineal feet of 3” open-cut conduit, 3,300 lineal feet of directional drilling of 3” and 4” conduit, 65 pre-cast concrete handholes and 15 light pole foundations.
Our capabilities also extend into residential development. Palmer Woods Subdivision was a project that also included various types of skills, including directional drilling and direct-bury conduit installation for the street lighting. With this job, Detroit Excavation, Inc. provided directional drilling installation of approximately 22,500 lineal feet of 2” HDPE conduit and 135 polymer handholes.
For this project, Detroit Excavation, Inc. worked on two major freeways in lower Michigan — namely I-96 and I-75. This project consisted of direct-bury conduit, directional drilling, street lighting installation, traffic signal installation and primary cable installation. The job included the installation of approximately 600 lineal feet of 3” and 4” direct-bury conduit, 2,780 lineal feet of 3” and 5” concrete encased conduit, 35 pre-cast handhole structures and 10 light pole foundations.
Various quantities of open-cut trenching, directional drilling and concrete structural work at approximately 180 different sites for the International Transmission Corporation were performed by Detroit Excavation, Inc.
This project consisted of the installation of approximately 3,000 lineal feet of concrete encased duct bank, 15 pre-cast manhole structures, and all pavement and greenbelt restoration for the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department.
Detroit Excavation, Inc provided the installation of 1,300 lineal feet of directional drilling of 1” conduit, 4,200 lineal feet of open-cut trenching and conduit installation, 78 concrete light pole foundations and six concrete transformer pads for the City of Romulus.
This project consisted of directional drilling approximately 5,420 lineal feet of 2” conduit and installing 9-polymer handholes for the Nextel Corporation.
On this project Detroit Excavation, Inc. installed approximately 4,000 lineal feet of direct-bury and concrete encased duct bank along with the installation of 5-polymer handholes for Detroit Edison.
