Educational Facilities: Higher Education and K – 12

Huron Valley Electric has extensive experience performing multi-faceted electrical installations in educational facilities since the early 1990’s.  Following are some of our projects ranging from remodeling elementary schools to new, state of the art higher educational facilities, past and present.

University of Michigan Museum of Art

  • 54,000 gross square foot addition and a 40,000 gross square foot renovation
  • Complete electrical system installation
  • New high voltage power substation
  • Complex theatrical lighting control system
  • Complete reconstruction of the buildings power distribution, fire alarm and security systems
  • Combined space will accommodate galleries, classrooms, collections/exhibitions, administration, public and building support

Detroit Community High School

  • HVE provided electrical design engineering services
  • Renovation of 1950’s warehouse into 500 student school
  • Project completed on time and under budget
  • HVE awarded 2007 Pyramid Award

University of Michigan Stadium Expansion and Renovation

  • Major expansion of both the east and west sides
  • Complete electrical power and lighting for the east stadium structures
  • Entire stadium automated controls system
  • Utilizing project management team from Motor City Electric Co.
  • Huron Valley Electrics installation expertise will assure delivery on this multi-phased project on schedule
